Lyrics from the project "Moan Alisa"

SOMEONE TO UNDERSTAND

V1: Have a friend, tired of where his life has been.
Said he's tired of messing round with his oxygen.
Says he wants to be right with the Man Upstairs.
Sometimes life don't seem fair, well alright.

He told me bout a woman who had recked his life.
Well, she didn't mean to do it, but her prints on the knife.
As he spoke her name he had a distant glare.
Sometime life don't seem fair, well alright.

CH: He's getting by just as well as he can.
You got to understand he's just a natural man.
I listen very close, as close as I can.
You know all he really needs, is someone to understand.

V2: He told me bout the dope, and the alcohol.
How in the past they had been his fall.
But I know it's much more than a joint or a beer,
so I read between the lines and saw his fear. Well alright.
( so many things are trying to drag him/you down)

I told me bout his daddy, how his daddy lied.
How his ears were filled with the wax of pride.
He grew up talking to an old fence post. You know,
sometimes we're hurt by the one's who love us most.

(Chorus) (break)

v3: Well we kept on talking till the break of day.
And we came to the conclusion that the world's screwed up,
but for those who believe, everything will be alright. Well alright.

CH2: We're getting by just as well as we can.
Well you got to understand, we're just a natural man.
We listen very close, as close as we can.
You know all we really need, is someone to understand.
